Course Overview

Fire Tech’s Teen Robotics holiday workshop introduces students to design, construction and testing skills through a wide variety of robotics projects. This class is perfect for students interested in automation, mechanical engineering, creative design – or to just have fun with fantastic tech!

Students will work in teams of two to build increasingly complex hardware-software projects to eventually compete against each other in creative challenges, similar to those found within the First Lego World League.

Hosted in the ECU Engineering robotics labs, this holiday workshop will also give students behind-the-scenes access to a wide range of robotic technology including the soccer-playing NAO, production-style robotic arms and the human-sized Baxter used to train university students for real-world projects!

Fire Tech is on the lookout for the next generation of female and male robotics champions for ECU – are you ready to step forward and show the world what you can create?
